Leopard Logic Selects True Circuits IP for Gladiator CLD Configurable Logic Devices

Flexibility, Increased Performance, Low Power and Fast Turnaround Are Key Advantages of Devices with True Circuits PLL and DLL Hard Macros

LOS ALTOS, California - True Circuits, Inc. (TCI), a leading provider of analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) for the semiconductor, systems and electronics industries, announced today that Leopard Logic of Cupertino, California has successfully implemented multiple True Circuits PLL and DLL hard macros in its new GladiatorTM CLDTM family of configurable logic devices, which feature a unique combination of mask-programmable and field-programmable technology, and are fabricated in TSMC's 0.13um process.

"We needed the most flexible IP implementation possible for our Gladiator CLD devices and True Circuits provided us with PLL and DLL hard macros that met this requirement," said Stefan Tamme, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Leopard Logic. "We selected True Circuits because of their deep expertise and proven ability in high-performance timing circuits. Using their programmable IP, our team was able to implement multiple PLL and DLL blocks under an aggressive schedule to provide our customers with complete timing flexibility for even the most demanding system applications."

"With its Gladiator CLD approach, Leopard Logic combines the flexibility of FPGAs with the efficiency of ASICs for high speed, high density, low per-gate cost and low power applications," remarked John G. Maneatis, President of True Circuits. "We are pleased to be a contributor to this unique design and family of programmable devices, and to help our customers achieve success with our low-jitter, programmable PLLs and DLLs in their high-performance design applications."
